Aku selalu membayangkan Gregory Bridgerton sebagai anak-anak, karena di banyak buku sebelumnya, Gregory memang masih anak-anak. Saudaranya yang paling dekat dengannya adalah si bungsu Hyacinth, dan mereka saling mendukung satu sama lain. Hyacinth telah menikah. Tinggal Gregory yang masih single. Dan seperti laki-laki Bridgerton yang lain, Gregory dewasa juga tampan dan kaya walaupun tanpa gelar. Ia juga nggak seperti laki-laki pada umumnya. Ia percaya kalau ia akan jatuh cinta suatu hari nanti.

Gregory dewasa ternyata melankolis, karena seluruh keluarganya penuh cinta. Tapi sebagai anak laki-laki termuda di keluarga, Gregory berusaha mandiri untuk menemukan tujuan hidupnya. Sampai ia bertemu dengan Lucinda Abernathy dan Hermione Watson.

Gregory merasa ia mencintai Hermione, jadi ia mengejarnya. Tapi Hermione mencintai orang lain. Lucinda atau Lucy, sahabat Hermione merasa bahwa Gregory lebih pantas untuk Hermione daripada pria yang dicintainya, jadi Lucy membantu Gregory mendapatkan Hermione. Sayangnya, Hermione kemudian menikah dengan orang lain. Gregory kemudian sadar bahwa ia sebetulnya mencintai Lucy, tapi Lucy sudah bertunangan dengan orang lain.

Ternyata kisah cinta Gregory mbulet kayak benang kusut. Aku jadi kasihan sama Gregory. Tapi seperti kata pepatah: Love will find a way... dan Gregory mendapatkan bantuan yang tak disangka-sangka.

Kisah terakhir ini adalah penutup yang manis dari seri Bridgerton.
